Match Camera for iPhone
Common questions
My Week Pass or Lifetime purchase isn't showing on a new phone
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
Match mode says "Point at the original scene"
The app lost its sense of direction, usually because it was in the background for a while. Point the camera roughly where the first photo was taken and the guide will re-anchor itself within a second or two.
The guide won't settle on "Perfect"
Hold the phone with both hands and move slowly as you get close. Plain scenes such as a blank wall or an open sky give the camera little to lock onto; include something with detail in the frame. If you are standing in a different spot from the first photo, the guide will ask you to step rather than turn.
Photos aren't saving
Match Camera needs permission to add photos to your library. Open iOS Settings, find Match Camera, and set Photos to Add Photos Only or Full Access.
Manual controls are greyed out
Some lenses, including most front cameras, do not support manual exposure, white balance or focus. Switch to the main rear camera.
The camera preview is black
Another app may be using the camera, or the app may have been interrupted by a call. Return to the app; it reconnects automatically. If it does not, close and reopen it.
